Once inside it is also possible to buy a ticket to climb the roof of the arch. This is a hefty walk of a hundred and sixty-four feet and two hundred and eighty-four steps. From here you have a beautiful view over Paris and you can see from a bird’s eye view that twelve streets end on the Place Charle de Gaulle.

Accessible by metro under the Triumphal Arch, get off at Charles de Gaulle-Etoile station.
